Oops, Olympics, October…Oh My!

Kinesio Tape at Olympics
Print Friendly

Hard to believe that we are starting the month of August 2012. What a whirlwind June and July were!!! I was home about 30 days in total. We are now busy planning speaking engagements for 2013 and beyond. The manuscript for “Oops! Your Body Language is Showing” is on its last leg and will soon be in the hands of proofreaders and then on to the publisher. So glad we have had so many eyes and hands touching the pages of the book and that we have looked at a variety of opinions. It has really helped.

I continue to keep busy with Applied Kinesiology doing many programs at churches and various organizations. People are beginning to understand the field of kinesiology and beginning to get healthier. It’s also entertainment at parties and gatherings. Speaking of Applied Kinesiology, I’m sure most of you have been watching the Olympics…WOW!!! Perhaps you have been hearing the word “kinesio tape” or you’ve seen blotches of black that look like thick tattoos on some of the athletes. Well, kinesio tape gives support and stability to your joints and muscles without affecting circulation or range of motion. Kinesio derives from the word “kinetics” which means movement. Patty Schnyder, the world’s no. 11 tennis player, was among the first to use the tape. “So for a change I decided to try out this tape. The normal wrap/support can be a little restrictive with the other muscles and this tape is able to focus on the specific muscle. It took the pain away instantly,” she wrote in an e-mail to the Associated Press. Very interesting. Congratulations to all the medalists in the Olympics. I get exhausted just watching them!

We are now working on our program that will be premiering October 1st at the Hampton Inn at Danbury.  This workshop will help you change your life, provide you with magical tips that will blow you away, and improve the health of your children. You will look forward to it each month and if you are already certified in the health care field, it will give you the opportunity to improve your business. Can’t tell you everything yet, but keep checking our blogs for updates about this exciting evening of networking AND…………….??? We will be announcing exactly WHAT in future blogs!
